They would target Calvert-Lewin I think.

Depends if they want goals! One big transfer then puts in motion the domino effect. So, yes, Bournemouth may try to sign Calvert-Lewin. Everton will then need a replacement and so on. So, it may not be Bournemouth or even Everton that comes calling, but a club further down the chain would surely. His record last season was pretty impressive

And that is why it is bad business to allow any of our players to leave before this whole scenario has played itself out.

            That includes McAtee and Taylor.

Edwards is naive to say that the better players won't leave, it's too early and he can't give that assurance even if we're not forced to sell.

If this is indeed a 'difficult transfer window', then let us continue to make it difficult for other clubs and not give away our key assets as soon as the phone rings.

To be fair, I think you can take McAtee out of the equation. Also, I believe it has been hinted that neither will move until a replacement has been lined up? However, a last minute move for one of our better players is the real issue

Yes and I hope both are on the bench on Monday and at Portsmouth.

If they go, they go when replacements are signed.

And if Eli is wanted we take stock and reconsider.

A season with Woodrow as a starter isn't worth thinking about.

A season with Woodrow as a starter isn't worth thinking about.

He averages a goal just over every 3 games in his last 4 seasons at Championship level based on minutes played.

Chuck in assists and it's a goal contribution every 200 minutes.

He's far from a bad option.

Yes, that's probably the plan. I'm sure you'll be only too happy to take the credit when it pans out exactly that way.

Woodrow as a starter wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. You must be intentionally ignoring the fact that it's been demonstrated that his record is actually pretty good.

Well considering nothing has actually happened yet then it doesn't have any basis whatsoever so that's a start.
Secondly there being multiple outcomes that may be either positive or negative you chose to go with the negative.

If it's not even happened yet maybe just maybe don't piss yourself.
You opted for that outcome not me.

How is it negative, go on explain

As posted elsewhere in this thread, you just need 1 big transfer to start the domino effect. It is being realistic given the impact he had. I would be more concerned if lower level Premier League teams were not interested in some of our players
