People aren’t allowed queries if it differs from club/clique rhetoric. We desperately needed at least one centre back since Lockyer collapsed. We didn’t get one. And largely because of that we got relegated. The end.

Q1 was at least asked.

Many suggested early and throughout January that we needed cover for Locks and Marv so not sure the hindsight response is fair.
Secondly if both Taylor and McAtee go before end of August we run a huge risk of being left short despite Edwards suggesting that we don’t need to sell.
If Brentford or Bournemouth want Eli on the 30th August, we all know Eli will go.
Says the bloke who will be dissecting every single word over the next few hours and will be using quotes out of context for at least the next nine months.
Play him and give him a bit more respect, he’s 21 and come of the back of being top scorer at two different clubs so is bound to be a bit chipper and arrogant.
I hope he comes off the bench on Monday and scores the winner on Monday.
You don't seem to understand how this loan system thing works, do you?
When he was at Colchester and Lincoln, we would have received regular progress reports from both clubs. We would also have a scout watching everyone of Taylors games and reporting back.
RE and the coaching team would also make their own assessment on the player during the pre-season. Clearly the professionals have evaluated that he is not yet ready for the Championship and needs more development at a lower level.
I trust their judgement far more than a bloke who watches 30 seconds of highlights on Quest every Saturday night.
So no professional gets it wrong then? Muskwe, Pepple, plus a couple of others who were so bad their names escape me. Very odd to let forwards go who are proven at a lower level when we only have 2 fit experienced ones in the club. Especially knowing Eli picks up injuries and may be the subject of a bid.
Hindsight an honest answer and anyone claimng the level of injuries post January could have been predicted is talking out of their arse, though we definitely needed a replacement for TL's style. It was apparent they tried.
No suggestion both forwards will go.
We most certainly don't 'know Eli will go' to bids like that and RE clearly, very clearly, said that was not the mindset of either club or players.

Don’t agree with the ‘hindsight’ answer to be honest; I said in January that we needed to strengthen at CB (locks replacement) and CM, as the early noises were that Nakambas injury was serious, which only left us with Barkley and an injury prone Lakonga. With respect, the drop off in quality after them was significant.
Of course no could have predicted the sheer volume of injuries we had, but I did have serious concerns we would unravel if the aforementioned wasn’t addressed.
I and others were calling out the need to strengthen in early January.
This was specifically about cover for Locks and Marv.
If we had done then injuries in February would have less of an impact.
Moreover as RE said at length tonight, because we were stretched due to the lack of cover other players were having to play harder and longer which then had a knock on effect of causing more injuries.
And while it may not be in the mindset to sell today you know as well as I do that we won’t be standing in the way of a Premier League move for best players.
Selling two strikers this week would be crazy. McAtee maybe goes but let’s wait for Brown and who else is coming in.

Also , new staff starting soon. These people should have been on board working from mid June.
Slow start = relegation fight , and with Edwards being "miss Lizzy Dripping" we got no chance of going up - and even if we do it'll more of the same "cheap , cheap , cheap"
