Olympic boxing

I know fcuk all about boxing and even less about genetics* - so I’m perfectly placed to comment it seems.
Surely the issue here is that if someone who genetically has the strength of a man fight someone that is 100% a woman, that woman is at a disproportionate risk of serious injury. This isn’t tiddlywinks or the 800m, it’s punching each other in the head until the opponent can’t stand up. So whist it’s clearly going to be rotten not to be allowed to compete for something that isn’t a fault (let alone your fault), it’s not as rotten as, say, increased risk of brain damage or, like, death?
Or am I missing something? Boxing already has weight limits, so if we are saying that generics don’t matter should there be gender categories at all (of course there fcuking should, but the logic prevails).
* I do seem to have become a bit of an expert in insomnia recently though.

So by your logic, Mike Tyson should have been banned as well?

Trouble is, all sportspeople are thus because they are more genetically athletic than other people, so where does that argument stop. She’s a woman by birth and has been beaten 9 times by females.

I do agree with you.
Flip side is this. Say the opponent ended up with serious injuries, say permanent brain damage - how would the sport governing body explain it to that persons family? And less importantly, what would a liability court case look like (other than complex!).
I think that boxing is something of a unique example in this case, due to the means of “winning” and the associated risk.

Other than a discredited claim by the discredited IBA, what evidence is there that Khelif isn’t a woman or has a “genetic advantage” over her opponents?

Saved us from spending any more hundreds of millions on trying to swap a few hundred migrants with those deemed to be too unsavoury to stay in Rwanda.
Shame so many hundreds of millions had been wasted on it already, rather than actually trying to do something to solve the issue but that's not on him.
Cheers, Jim

You shouldn't put yourself down, just because you don't have the knowledge of boxing, or genetics. You clearly are an expert on common sense. 👽
