    Friday night in Portsmouth

Posted by STB on 7/8/2024, 12:04:38

Making the most of it while modern day footy wrecks another 3pm Saturday K.O...

Heading to Pompey on the Friday now.

Any other Hats going down for the night before?

Any suggestions for pubs or areas for a few beers?

Depends where abouts you are staying

Albert Road as mentioned has a fair few - Merchant House (opposite the Festing) is excellent - rotating beers and their Pils is also very good. Also a big selection of craft CANS .

Palmerston road Southsea is one of the main nightlife concentrations (best stay away from drift though if the bouncers are still c*nts)

Gunwharf a good selection of bars and restauraunts. And nearby Old POrtsmouth the Spice Island / Still ad West and decent waterfront locations albeit it Gree King / Fullers pubs

When I was at Pompey Uni (2007-2010) Albert Road had loads of decent pubs. Fratton (and Southsea in particular) is superb for local pubs.
