If Adam Tiffen (a regular contributor to the famous Brunton Bugle) says it, it must be right. I'm surprised that the board haven't sacked Edwards and brought him in as manager.

For the past 10 seasons we've recruited for the division above. Both McAtee and Taylor were bought for the Championship. The club have stated promotion is the aim this season, therefore any new recruits will be with that in mind. If either or both leave it's because the club don't think that - at the moment - they're not good enough for the Premiership. If my summation is correct, that's good enough for me.

Personally I hope Taylor stays, his mum (honestly!) said (on Faceache) the move to Huddersfield is not true. Also, I saw Taylor on the train last a week last Sunday, although I'm telling you that in confidence.....

You said the same thing about that kid who languished in Sutton United's reserves on loan from us. And you said it relentlessly.

Taylor looks a far better prospect than him, but he's never kicked a ball in the Championship before. And we have three forwards, four if you count Ogbene, who are proven in this league.

            So the options are:

            1) He stays, comes off the bench and gets the odd minute here and there.

            2) He goes on loan, continues developing, bangs in goals in league one, and we can bring him back in January if we need.

I don't know why I just wasted the 2 minutes of my life it took to right this, though. As you'll be posting the same old shit for the whole season regardless of how many times you're made to look a total wally.

Are we counting Ogbene as a forward or rwb? Poor cunt is having to play everywhere due to our complete lack of depth - which is what everyone is complaining about

You don't half have some odd takes on things.

A lot of footballers tend to be able to play more than one position these days.

Hashioka is injured, so CO is playing RWB atm.

Play-offs aside, Taylor started our last game of the regular season in the Championship when everyone was rested for the play-offs.

Him and Freeman as a front two - we looked a bit toothless.

(Am sure Taylor came on as a sub on other occasions?)

But otherwise, I guess everything else Herve says is spot on.

No, it's not. See, easy start.

The big problem with Taylor is that he really needs to be playing Championship football which wouldn't be a problem if we were still in the Prem because he wouldn't be in direct competition with us. I imagine any deal for Taylor will be done last thing, in case we sell Adebayo and I'd hope that there was a recall clause should be score a bunch more goals and we can bring him back and use him or loan him out to a team who aren't going to hurt us.

                  Cheers, Jim

For all these people saying about Taylor - who are they dropping, morris or adebayo?

I get the distinct impression that Taylor doesn’t want to be an impact sub and it also seems clear that the football management believe his best chance of progression is to play 90 mins week in week out, and at the moment they want to play morris and adebayo.

To me, another loan where he will play and score but can be recalled makes much more sense than him sitting on the bench.

Indeed, it's just that really he should probably be going to a Champo team but, obviously, we don't want to do that.

Loan him to Hudd's until Jan then bring him back and loan him to whoever's bottom of our Division.

I have had to sit down because I agree with you. Another stint in League 1 doesn't seem to serve any purpose. Unless it is a sweetener to get the centre half from Huddersfield we are said to be interested in.

Brown has been out of action since February and needs time to fully recover.

Eli is also one of those players who has a serious injury every season.

That leaves Morris on his own, yet again.

And don't suggest Woodrow, Chio or Chong as back-up strikers, they are not natural goal scorers.

There is room in the squad for four strikers, Taylor coming on as he did at Wembley offers something different.

                        But all this is irrelevant
because we are supposedly looking for a Taylor replacement, which makes little sense to me. Why pay more for something you already have?

We're not allowed to suggest Woodrow because that disagrees with your narrative, it having been demonstrated that he's an effective goalscorer at this level.

And Taylor's unlikely to want to sit and wait for Adebeyo to be injured just so he can be backup to Woodrow. Hence the need to loan him out to get game time.

                          Cheers, Jim

Is that we are waiting on Sammie Szmodics.

In moving Taylor and McAtee on makes space and should we sell Morris or Eli then we have decent cover in Szmodics to play alongside who is left and Brown.

(and yes I know there is Ipswich interest)
