I think it’s the point that we do have lots of injured players though, plus some players who aren’t fit for chunks of the season.

So no, I wouldn't be happy.
Bell is a converted LWB, Walters an unproven RWB and Hashi a more traditional right back.
We need to replace those who have left, we have no cover and no depth.
So fair question and a constructive answer.

Bell may have been converted, but under RE has played that position for a season and a half and excelled in it.
You forget to include Burke in this, too.
So we're one signing away from having 6 'Full time' (as you put it) central defenders.
Add to that JJ & Walters (who looks like he might play that right of the back 3 role) and we have 8.
Most squads have 2 for every position. Yet you seem to want 10 centre backs.

We have Burke too! Definitely need at least one more centre-back.
As it stands, we will likely have 7 teenagers in the matchday squad against Burnley on Monday if Mengi is out. You can now name 9 subs in the Championship as of last season.
