Currently they have spent £14,000,000 on new signings as they attempt to gain promotion (back to the division they were in last season )

It seems like they're spending it somewhat intelligently. Basically, they're building a squad which is decent Championship standard. They've bought a guy who scored 9 goals in the Dutch top league last season. Wilumssen (sp?) is currently 100/1 for L1 top scorer if you want an each-way bet. He's going to be playing in the no. 10 role so probably won't win. But could easily be in the top 4.
