With five deffo starters having left the club (inc Locks) numerous others out injured, the squad looks well short in all departments right now. Not great preparation for a good start to the season and ultimately a promotion push, concerned to say the least.

The point being we have next to zero fit centre backs of Championship quality and the season starts next weekend.
Holding a squad place back for Locks would be the “Luton way” but has to be fully justified.
Like the shirt news yesterday, why not just keep the fans updated because I can’t see the harm in that.
We all would like to know how he is.

I would assume he’s counting osho, kabore, Barkley lakonga and as he also stayed Lockyer. To be fair that’s a big hit with only an injury prone midfielder and unproven defender coming in! That maybe wouldn’t be too bad considering we are dropping a level if the squad was in good health but with little or no pre season for mads, Burke, brown, Marv and bell plus Taylor and McAtee not massively involved we do look painfully short on numbers. I remain confident at least one of the injured will be back next week and that at least 2 new recruits are on the way but if any of Chong Alfie or adebayo were to be sold next week even the believers like myself will be starting to feel a little uneasy
