Being linked to Luton - someone who I said on here back in May as being a potential pick.

Very much a data pick this and a wise one for me. Presumably the top goalscoring CB in the Championship last year. Was in the top 5 for aerial duals won and the leading player when it came to clearances. Aiming to get into the Poland squad. Yes Huddersfield got relegated. (Probably said a lot about Pearson and the rest of their defence).

28 years old, not young and I guess limited resale value. But for me he is an ideal Tom Lockyer replacement.

Played for teams in relegation battles who have conceded a fair few goals. As a CB you are partly responsible. Just glanced at the Huddersfield forum and a few want to sell for a lot of money (7 million 😂 or a deal involving Taylor.
      Can't see it happening.
Wonder if that might be the problem for us getting deals done. Selling clubs demanding higher fees because we have parachute payments. The loan market might be a better option in that case.

Where is he being linked? Decent player who has won Huddersfield’s player of the year for last 2 seasons, scored 9 goals last season and is in the last year of his contract.

I’d rather play Taylor at Centre Back.

Give away a prize talent for an aging centre back who was relegated last season?

We were in the ‘kin Premier League.

On a free maybe but not for money or an p/x.

Play Taylor alongside a proper forward rather than Woodrow.

No wonder he was pissed off.

Taylor wasn't interested at all at Vale. Huffed and puffed his way round the pitch. Then got subbed. Not the kind of attitude you'd expect for someone trying to earn a first team place.

Giles didn’t want to be with us Ches.

Taylor damn well does and wants to play and score goals.

But is stuck behind Woodrow for no know reason.

Taylor is frustrated, Giles was just arrogant and didn’t seem to care.

                                  Quite different.

Taylor wants out. He's instructed his agent to find a move. His attitude in training was bad and this resulted in a row with Edwards.
Now stop claiming you know it all, when you clearly don't.

I know from the horses mouth he thinks he has done enough on loan to be given a shot at a first team place here.

Based solely on that if he has been told he isn't getting that chance I can imagine he is a bit pissed off.

Top scorer for two clubs last season across two leagues, meets loan targets, and then apparently that's still not enough?

And if what you say is true what does it say about judgement of players?

Woodrow does hardly anything on the pitch in two years but doesn’t argue with the manager and hence he stays in favour.

Taylor shows a bit of spirit because he wants to play but could be jettisoned.

Are you really saying that you think Woodrow for another season is a better move football wise?

What was the point of signing and loaning out a genuine goalscorer and then not giving him a proper chance?

I would be pissed off if I was him too.

I am only surmising that being played in the “XI” after being given 25 minutes with Woodrow at Tannadice hasn’t gone down well.

He went out on loan did very well and could probably be justified in wanting a chance to play along side Morris or Eli or both.

Natural finishers are gold dust and he is that.

And having an attitude isn’t necessarily a problem as long as he help taught to channel it the right way.

I hope he gets to play a fuller part on Saturday and not just with Woodrow.

                                              Both come behind Woodrow, why?

I suspect, rather than having him as 4th choice striker, the club see more value in him going on loan again to continue his development and get minutes.

Everything in pre-season suggests that Taylor will be on the bench against Burnley. I don’t think he could expect more than that.

It’s up to him to take his chances when presented with them.

I don’t know why the discussion has to become a knock on Woodrow. He offers something different to Taylor. It’s not one or the other.
