I still personally feel it was a decent goal. No more obstructing than Adebayo at Burnley for Morris's late equaliser.

I have only seen it on the BBC website. To me, if a player is in an offside position inside the "six yard box" they should automatically be given offside. I don't see how you are not interfering with play in that situation. If it was considered that the player was obstructing the keeper, in my opinion, he must have been interfering with play and was, therefore, also offside.

I wouldn't have been happy if that goal had been allowed against Luton.

I don't see any similarity between tonight's incident and Adebayo at Burnley.

I see that it was the longest VAR check of the tournament so far and involved PL officials. No surprise!

I pretty much agree, but as the rules stand I think that was a valid goal.

Never in a million years did he stop the keeper attempting a save.

So Outsider says he doesn't think it should have stood. You say that it was a valid goal - and yet you pretty much agree! how does that work?

          Screw them
Would of been a travesty if they won, they stank the place out, horrible tackles and side to side and back passing

                The delay, yes. ButÖ

                Two things:
                1. Iíd be absolutely fcuking fuming if that was given as a goal against the hatters.
                2. Surely what is wrong with modern football is over complicating things. The linesman watches play from 90 degrees/side on. Football is simple, so if a player is offside he flags, and then the ref decides if heís interfering with play. In that instance, an on field ref would surely say he was. It needs to be slow motioned and paused to look at the position of the keepers feet to define where he might have got it then thatís the nonsense.

Its the slow motion, over analysis and existence of var thatís ridiculous. Keep it simple, leave it to the refs.

That people think that a player five yards offside and between the ball and the goalkeeper is somehow not offside, you mean?

                  Cheers, Jim

Offside wasn't the issue though was it? It was obstruction I thought?
