Will listen later. I have Jackdaw on my shoulder (biting my ear) and the Byrds on music machine.

Any idea how I post a picture from phone?

        Can't help with the picture.
How did you get a Jackdaw I presume you have reared it.

        Cool thing to do.

I like the byrds, but love finding new music to listen to I'm in my sixties and love rap, drum and base, rave, I think sometimes we get stuck k in the era we grew up in and miss out on so much good music that is out there now.

He/she, was on a dog walking area and half bald. No chance of survival. So I picked it up and fed liver, mince and dog food .
Now he rules my life. But the pecks on my ear are getting sore. (Wimp)
Thought it was a Crow initially and called it OldShow after Old Crow Medicine Show. But blue eyes and black cap slowly coming in ,so clearly a Jackdaw.
You are right, I am generally stuck in "my" time. Byrds, Dylan, The Band, Grateful Dead, Joni, Neil Young, Jackson Browne etc

Fair play to you, not many small chicks make it.
            Jackdaw are very intelligent birds.

It's not too late to broaden your horizons.

              True on the bird.
I do listen to newer stuff,(some good) but never found anything that compares to my favourites.

Being an oldie myself, I progressed from the Beatles, Stones etc, onto the likes of Uriah Heep, Wishbone ash, Magnum, Barclay James Harvest, and from there to the classic rock/AOR era.
Most offerings after that don't offer the 'listening' experience I want. Lately I've been getting more into the 'blues rock' stuff, and on one of my frequent youtube journeys I came across this (to me) gem.

Like it, but it isn't new. Could easily be late sixties, or early seventies.

The musical genre, style, composition, however you'd like to 'label' it isn't new no, but while artists are still making music like this I get 'new' songs to listen to and enjoy.

As an aside to this, bands from the 70's & 80's (obviously not entirely original band members) are still making albums, and seem to have tried to move forward and encompass some of 'todays' tastes and styles . . and, for me at least, it hasn't worked in most cases.

'the times they are a changin' or maybe even 'dust in the wind'
