FAO Frothy - that Yougov poll and weighting

Posted by Patient on 14/6/2024, 14:43:44

Lost track of whether you have jumped or not?

Anyway the weighted YouGov data, without making any adjustments gives you:

    Labour: 40%
    Reform: 18%
    Con: 15%
    LD: 14%
    Green: 7%

This was the old method Yougov used until ten days ago. Their new model was launched to make more headlines I suspect.

Polls have to be treated with caution but barring disaster it looks like Reform will get more votes than Tories. There are millions like me who have switched. Not sure why you're so interested in my actions but there you have it.

        Cheers

looking at one poll is a waste of time
you need to look at the aggregate of all the polls.
picking one to make a point or a news head line is just to make a point is pretty empty

And it's why data from previous elections is helpful. You would have thought that the tories would be looking to boost their support for the younger generations. They genuinely might be toast within 10 years.

          Check out ipsos.

The Tory party is finished forever.

            Fantastic stuff.

Sadly new Labour will get the shire Tories as they almost are a Tory B party.

The thick underclass run to Pinocchio where they belong.

            Itís a new era.

People were saying Labour were finished for the foreseeable only a few years ago.

In a world where Boris and Donald can get the top jobs anything can happen.

Nah. It was wishful thinking from the likes of a few idiots.

New labour are the old Tories and have nicked that ground.

The Tories have no option but to carry on further to appease the looney right.

They are misfits and conspiracy nut jobs.

            It's not for headlines.

They switched to using the same approach they use in their MRP for their standard VI polls, and pointed out as such it was likely to reduce the Labour lead.

Tactical voting will decide the election regardless.

Left combined are well over 55% now and all parties want rid of the Tories.

Its the one thing they do agree on.
