He is a good crosser of the ball but defensively quite average - being honest he is not going to start at any PL club - might see him off the bench from time to time

Did you watch any of our games???? He is our best player after Barkley . If we get 10M for him then fair enough but make no mistake we won't replace him easily.

If we only get 10 million we have fucked right up. We got close to 8 million for JJ who hadn't played above L1. Alfie has 30+ premier league appearances, is under contract (iirc) and we as a club have more money than we have ever had before in our history.

given season he's had ,£10m is ripping us off

£20m plus sell on clause min , imo

You can't expect that with a year left in his contract. The last thing we want his for him to run down his contract and leave for fck all.

Well he started for us. A lot. So if a prem club wants a fullback to get forward and deliver decent crosses then he will start. If they don`t , then why sign him?

There are so many clubs rumoured to be in for him that his agent is doing sterling work. Or the papers are bored. I`d actually say 20 million is quite cheap for an English creative left footed flying fullback who put in 100 more crosses than ay other player in the league last season (340 in total..2nd on the list has 238)

            Get the bidding war going.

£20M will do please. Maybe higher at this rateÖ

Doesn't matterhorn much we get for him if we don't get someone at least as good, the team is weaker.

Harrison Burrows at Peterborough would be a good replacement if Doughty goes.

True. However that isnít our way.
We need to use this income for the new ground.
We canít afford to waste it on replacements.

Sometimes it can be beneficial for the club to buy a young talent and increase their value, Burrows is a good age at 22.

The team will be weaker. Barkley gone, Lakonga and Kabore return to parent clubs. Doughty and Adebayo likely to be sold, possibly Menghi and potentially others. How much weaker we are going to be is the question

When did that happen? I can't find the link. As far as I can see it's been rumoured by ' Football Insider' but not confirmed by the club.

You use the fees to replace on the hope and expectation that the club recruit the right people.

                          Same as it ever was.
We can also loan more players this season. And PL clubs would be happy to see their young talent come to LTFC because of the way we handle ourselves and develop players.

At the end of the home game, watching back on TV at the time. Thomas Frank walked up and put his arm around Doughty and from my lip reading said 'see you next season'.

I messaged a mate and said that Doughty might be heading to West London.
