    What a comeback!

6-5. The best penalty shootout score.

You said they were about to get relegated. Even Godders gets things right occasionally. Perhaps think before you post in future?

Sometimes. That is part of my job still, yes.

I shouldn't teach kids because I think a team who are 3-1 down on aggregate away from home with half an hour left are going to lose?

                      That makes sense.

Some game wasn`t it. Especially after losing the 1st leg 3-0 at home. 6-5 on penalties does have a certain ring to it

                      Astonishing comeback.
I really thought they were on the way out after the first leg, but I admit I got it completely wrong on Friday.
The scores reflect the way the games went:
Düsseldorf totally dominated the first game, and could (should) have won by more than 3-0.
In theory, all they needed was to control the second game to guarantee promotion, but Bochum fought really hard and didn't really give
                      them a chance.
In the end, Bochum were as dominant in the second game as Düsseldorf had been first time around.
My only problem now is that Düsseldorf will probably be a really strong team in the second division next season and make things difficult
for my local team, Darmstadt (who were terrible last season and were deservedly relegated).
BTW: Darmstadt hosted Naarwich in a pre-season friendly last year. Jack Stacey set up the game's only goal.
This summer, Darmstadt will be hosting Coventry - they seem to like playing English teams, as they hosted Fulham a few years ago.
