    ORANGE the song

Posted by Snapper on 27/5/2024, 11:36:45

I really hope the club can get a copy of it and play it at games. Coldplay knocked it out of the stockwood park last night, I was disappointed to see bbc iPlayer have edited it out this morning. For some reason Coldplay get a bit of stick but they are one of the greatest bands ever. Was an amazing night a real credit to the town. Great atmosphere

Bit mad that people actually believed that Luton fans were disgruntled that they had a song called yellow but there you go fantastic event that I never believed could ever happen in our town and it was amazing

Ffs no. It was great that he did it but be honest, it was a bit cringe. Fine for a one off but not something that needs repeating.

Agreed, it was the biggest cringe since Johnny Vegas being on the train coming back from Carlisle and people claiming he's now a Luton fan.

It was a bit of fun and something pretty special from one of the most popular bands in the world*. How some saddos turn that round to being 'a bit cringe' is beyond me. Perhaps the same people who try to suck the joy out of anything and everything positive that's posted on here or done by the club?

*I think they're boring and bland but I'm certainly not their ordinary audience

                      It was highly ‘cringe’.

Chris Martin has no affiliation or links to Luton unless I’m mistaken.

Completely unnecessary and ruined a half decent song.

Would have preferred something a bit more anthemic but I would join in if it was sung at matches. Our repertoire can be a bit thin?

Use the tune and tinker with the words. It could be a belter, a few thousand throats booming hallelujah out.

The start of it sounds a bit like Cohens Hallelujah I thought.
Just a bit of fun knocked up about an hour before the show.

It’s very trendy to knock Coldplay. Think a lot of people don’t like them as they are seen as posh boys. They are tremendous live and sell out around the world
To play in luton is almost astonishing

It was an amazing thing for him to do. I guess he was asked about changing the words to the song Yellow and latched onto the vibe when others might have ignored it. I was shocked and yes, it's not the greatest song ever but, as a Lutonian, it hits the spot.

Are people expecting him to write a version of “Sky full of stars” in his hotel room on Saturday night and then give it to Luton. Funny thing was it wasn’t the worst song I heard there yesterday 😂. They really showed their class yesterday. There were 10x better any other artist that played yesterday
