    Building a new squad

Surely this needs to be done with a decent foundation ie keep as many of our ‘top players’ as possible replacing anyone who goes with as much quality as possible and keep those who have been reliable over recent years and who have helped develop the incredible spirit around this place. To suggest berry pelly Shea and Woodrow should all be offloaded before we have a clue how many of the perceived more desirable types may be off seems a little silly in my humble opinion

We need a reset and a new way of playing. Our defence is comical and will see us in L1 this time next year. We need to bring in some (at least 2) decent defenders and a defensive midfielder. I guess some will leave because they get better offers and perhaps a couple of others need to move on just because we need to shake things up. I think the likes of Oge/Chong would be great attacking assets in Championship - I like us when we are pacey. Now Barkley is going (which I am sad about) the only small positive is that we can try to move the ball quicker again as he did like to dally around a bit with it.

I agree with pretty much all of that, need to replace Lockyer with as close as possible ie a proper warhorse leader, mads and bell being fit will help as will Marv but I’d agree a reset defensively is needed! If we hang on to ogbene Chong and Eli there is no doubt we will score plenty of goals but even at championship level we won’t get away with conceding so many chances.
