    How to keep Barkley

Give him Garyís £1.3m next year on top of his current contract, and get a Mike to do the Gary admin role

Only way would be to keep him on current wage for the remainder of his contract instead of decreasing due to relegation. Then let him go for nothing next season. But who know what happens

No idea where you have plucked that number from, but have you any idea how much someone of GS ability could earn in the City?

I will never understand why people have an Axe to grind with Gary. The guy was instrumental in saving this club. Whether he paid himself a million or not, either way he worked his arse off to do it.

                    Unless I'm missing something???

He is part of a team, but he gives everything, and whatever the directors feel he is worth, is ok with me. In 45 years of business, I donít think Iíve met anyone so talented and glad that itís been used to the benefit of our club,

He didn't save it all by himself, there were many many others who did the work.

He doesn't decide his own salary (or bonuses).

I agree, but that doesn't answer the posters point about how didn't do it all on his own.

There's a bit of a narrative the last few years that GS, and 2020, are the saviours, which discounts plenty of the unsung heroes, many who aren't on here, who put money and time and plenty of other things into saving the club, and not just in 2008 either.

I couldn't really answer that point as the point wasn't posted until about five minutes after mine.

Always some twats guessing what/if GS is taking a salary. As others have said, there would be no club without him & his team. Would be nice if these idiots had some proof of the crap they post....
