    Is Garth a convert?

Actually some sensible words finally about the three bottom teams (at the end of the article).

No I'm not. You are shit and you're going down as predicted. Only been kept interesting due to points deductions. One of the worst premier league teams ever

            He's right for once though.

Even if we managed 4 points from Newcastle and Bournemouth away we'd be going into Sunday with every chance.

I would argue we should have had 2 more points from Liverpool home, 1 more point from Arsenal home, and 3 more points from Bournemouth away, in which case we would be favourites to stay up, only needing a point from the final game.

We've discussed this on here before, I think.

We've scored a few late goals which cancel out some of our mistakes, but I'd say we should've got points from Tottenham and Wolves at home.

Losing to both Burnley and Sheff U at home really hurt us

Liverpool and Arsenal at home we weren't expected to get anything and could've had 4 points.

A very selective view of the Spurs game. We could (should) have been anywhere between three and five goals down within the first twenty minutes.

Yes they blew us away first 5 but Richarlison is just a bit shit. Kane would've had a field day.

If you're playing against ten men at home for 45 minutes you should be getting a point as minimum. Wasn't the wolves game directly before/after as well?

You could also argue 2 or 3 less from Sheff Utd away, 2 less from Forest home and away (they get 4 more), 1 less from Palace away.

You could, but then you could say we should have had at least a point at home to Spurs

I made that point a few days ago but was told that those points are "already on the board". Whilst they are, the "board" shows that the other points were dropped as well. Any team could look at results selectively and they would have had more points.

Exactly, I’d add Everton away to the list, could easily have been three down in the first 10 minutes

Exactly. Other than the Bournemouth result it doesn't feel overly unusual with the number of points we've gained/lost this season.

One of the major turning points, in my opinion, was the VAR penalty given against Reece Burke at home to SU. We’d been on a decent run and despite conceding a sloppy goal we’d got momentum back, that killed it. Lost Adebayo and Lokonga in the next two games but we might just have had the momentum to see us through

That Bournemouth away did it. Just seemed to suck a lot the belief out of everyone, players and fans.

Yep, sat in the basement of a bar in Bournemouth after and realised we weren’t going to make it. Very bizarre because from sitting in a quiet bar feeling miserable a load of students turned up at about 11 and the place was heaving

A better chance, definitely, but it would still be out of our hands.
