    Pen against Everton

Can argue with the award as Tedan hangs on too long but what makes Branthwaites legs suddenly go from under him .....

It was definitely a penalty for Everton but it was also a penalty when Harrison Reed of Fulham wrestled Morris to the ground earlier on the season, guess who was also on VAR that day?

Mate there are decisions you can argue against this season. That penalty is not one of them

They should have had one before that anyway.

They should have had one afterwards as well, Adebayo was all over one of their players from a corner which looked more nailed on than the one that was given

I thought that, too, on first viewing. But in the replays you can see how much effort Mengi is putting into holding Braithwate back. He had every right to go down IMO.

Mengi has been outstanding, but that was a massive brain fart.

worse thing was. they'd not even taken the corner. So there's nothing to say he's have got the ball anyway.
I'm afraid. A vital game where the first goal was vital, massive error

If they hadn't taken the corner it should not have been given.

All defenders do that these days and forwards, you'd have to give 30 pens a game to keep up with that

Why when pulling and holding in the box is the norm these days was it even given, mile from play too

You dont understand the game ,,slow down every corner in.any game anywhere and every player does it .

And every corner a foul should be given.

And also, Mengi's was extreme, even basing it on the usual shenanigans that go on at corners. If he'd let go of Branthwaite, it would not have been given.

You can argue it as much as you want, but it really was a foul...

It shows why VAR is so bad for the game as in the pre VAR era a competent ref or linesman should be spotting that. Now they just rely on VAR to make decisions for them
