Chelsea thrashing West Ham means that Chelsea will ease off against Forest next week and WHU will get a rollocking by Moyes and no way will play as poorly next week.
Don’t know how you can make out Chelsea will ease off they are 2 points of 6 place and a Europa place no easing off from them I expect them to beat Forest, as for West Ham they have been play poorly for ages also Moyes won’t be getting them playing well all of a sudden he we’ve gone come the end of the season, I expect Luton beat West Ham or at least get a draw and take it to the last game right now I will settle for that.
Agreed, but unless we can win a game it’s irrelevant how others clubs are doing. In many ways all season we have looked at others doing favours or performing poorly rather than taking the opportunity to be in control of our own destiny.
Six points may well keep us up but we must doing something different to at least give ourselves a fighting chance.
We defended well for large parts of the game on Friday, albeit Kaminski made some great saves from a couple of efforts; it was a big improvement on what we’ve seen recently and was reminiscent of the Bournemouth performance, albeit without that bit of luck.
I think we would have won that game had Eli been fully fit, as you could see that after about 40 mins, he was really blowing.
Unfortunately, as you and i said at the time, it looks as if a very poor January window has cost us. We were always four or five injuries away from derailing our season, and that’s exactly how it panned out..
We have always given ourselves a fighting chance. That said, without any deductions we'd be down by now. But we battle on. It was noticable yesterday at Burnley how many fans had deserted them even by half-time. By the time they scored their consolation that end stand lower tier was almost empty! Burnley fans seem resigned to their fate and it's starting to feel like some of our fans are too. But we've seen plenty of bottle and fight from our boys this season which is why so many of us are proud of what we achieve this season come what may.
If Forest hadn't overspent, they would probably have been down by now. Wood has scored all three of their goals against us this season. They use the argument about delaying the sale of Johnson to increase his value by £17 million but they bought Wood in June (so in last year's figures for PSR). Also, they played Johnson three times this season before selling him. If he had been badly injured in those games, they would have not only lost the £17 million extra but the original £30 million that they turned down in June.
Whilst my point is factually correct, your comments gives every reason why it will be completely ridiculous to suggest that they should get any points back when they should really have more taken off.
They have cheated and already got away with it. Points returned to them will be a kick in the teeth. If they get 2 points back we are effective down before the next round of fixtures which means their cheating will have all been worthwhile.
We haven't been good enough and haven't gained enough points. It's simple really. I know a lot of you are in denial. Best to just accept it should we go down.
Obviously we haven't got enough points but you have to look at the reasons why if you want to properly analyse and learn.
It's not about being in denial, it's about seeing how others have managed (by cheating) and how we have battled on regardless and come so close in so many games despite being injury ravaged and using players who have played several divisions below these superstars and come so close so often.
And I'm certainly not giving up hope or just accepting it until mathematically down.

I agree.
Assuming that Forest stay up, they will probably, effectively, not have have been punished at all for their offences.
At least Everton will have lost a few million pounds in prize money but the gap above the bottom four means that Forest are unlikely to have finished higher than 17th even without the deduction.
I would argue if anything needs to be learnt its why in 2\3 past seasons we've had a huge number of muscle type injuries? Is there something about the conditioning that's wrong ?
Agree.. Chelsea and Patch want to finish on a high...Moyes obviously lost the dressing room so they (players) will want to make sure he's not back next season Luton win 2 - 1 Forest lose 3 -0
Partly agree. WH will certainly up their game unfortunately, but no way will Chelsea ease up. They can see the European place up for grabs now they are hot on Newcastle's tails.
Feel free to come back here next week and highlight my error then and I'll gladly apologise. I hope I'll have to but I've watched and studded enough football and results to know how these things work out. Despite the unpredictability of sport, there are many things within it that are predictable.
'Studded' so hard you failed to notice that Chelsea have an incentive to win next weekend which means that today's result was actually in our favour. Such eye for detail.
Nope. When we played Reading the last game of the season 21-22, Middlesbrough were away at Preston, needing maximum points to try to get in the playoffs, Preston had nothing to play for. You viewed it as a guaranteed Boro win. Preston won 4-1.
Or… Chelsea seem to be finding some form, should be too good for forest, and…. with lakonga and Eli getting up to speed we are much more like the side we threatened to be mid season, the side that thrashed Brighton, gave Newcastle a couple of proper matches etc etc West Ham should beat us and probably will, it’s the probably but not definitely that offers a straw to clutch at
