Should we go down. Test of ambition now for the club. Lots of players to replace. Will lose some through natural wastage and others for fees, will they be aggressive to try and get back up in next 2 seasons and maybe be better prepared for the top flight ?

Pelly , Potts,Krul ,Shea and Berry as well personally.
Doughty,Osho and Barkley I think are gone already

Define 'ambition'.

If you mean spending £20 million, then no.

If you mean doing what we've been doing, but adding more quality because we can now undoubtedly attract better players, then yes.

Not spending 20 mill on one player. But being aggressive and trying to take use of the parachute money in a controlled way plus reinvesting any money from player sales as well.

Doubt we'll be spending £20 in total tbh.

Unless a couple of young, yet experienced central midfielders are available.
Wonder if we might get a young premier league player in on loan if we can't find the right player to buy.

If we go down then there are players who will be in demand, Barkley, Mengi, Doughty, Kaminski, and Adebayo. Those will command decent fees. That money will either be spent on players or funding PC. Either way it will be money well spent.

Some of those players will also be in demand if we stay up.

I hope and trust we'll do it the Luton way. We'll have the parachute payments to support most of the squad we have. Obviously some will leave and we some will come in. We build upon what we have with the aim to be a better team than the one that came 3rd last season. Then it comes down to whether the players and manager can get it working on the field, the quality of the other teams and some luck.

Can't see it myself. If they're only prepared to spend £20m building a squad to try and stay in the biggest league in the world, there's no way they'll spend more trying to get back up.
A massive missed opportunity in January and a slight lack of ambition IMO

I didn’t see it as a lack of ambition per se.

Instead there was an unrealistic feeling that we had enough and we would get by.

With the loss of Locks and Marv we were massively vulnerable to further injuries severely impacting the squad.

That is what happened unfortunately.

The over confidence was misplaced and that is why imho we had to do more in January.

Yes we tried but I still think we could have tried harder.

No one can ever accuse 2020 of lack of thought for the best interests for the club. However this may be have been an opportunity where careful investment would have returned far greater rewards.

Onwards and upwards, in whatever division.

While most won't be as persistent as Cuba in his thoughts I can assure you many see that he makes good points.

The fact you want to shut down any criticism of anything LTFC is however not a surprise.

Fans have opinions, you might not like that but get over it.

we dont agree with everything that they do but the last thing id be doing is hammering them on luton outlaws ffs.

speak to one of the supporters’ club (clearly LLSC being the best) and theyll do what they can.

Given that the club didn’t strengthen in January when we were in a good position to stay up I somehow doubt we are going to throw money at it in the championship if we go down
