Musings from the Nots Forest forum

"I too think we'll get nothing back.
This entire season it seems like the FA and PGMOL are doing their very best to push us towards the trap door. It's not just in the specific decisions but also the timing they are choosing: Denying our COVID mitigating factors after January deadline closed so couldn't do much about closing that gap, 4 point deduction was pretty much confirmed right before Luton game and then the outcome of our appeal right before our biggest game of the season just to distract us from winning the game.
If you were deliberately planning on trying to disrupt Forest as efficiently as possible then it'd look practically identical to the season we've had.
On that basis, I expect 0 points returned, and I wouldn't be entirely surprised if our 2 points reduced for good behaviour was added back on as a final f*** you from PL towers."
"We need to ignore the noise and beat Sheffield on Saturday. I think we get something back to stop EM going legal - but it shouldn't matter. Luckily Everton still need more points just in case they go into administration and get docked another 9 - so I expect them to beat Luton We have to take 4 points from 3 games - This in our hands"
"I’m not holding my breath but the outcome probably depends on any new evidence or further mitigating circumstances that Forest have presented. 1 point back would be useful and 2 would be great-if the appeal fails it could be a nail in our coffin at the end of a truly rotten season."
"So far the PL's FFP strategy looks like they want to be seen to take some action while at the same time not immediately affecting the relegation contest, then retrofitting an explanation to suit the number of points involved. So given the games still to be played I reckon it'll be a fudge with either no change or one point given back, and a long note full of pseudo-science, letting them suggest later that relegation was ultimately decided on the pitch.
Unfortunately the Man City problem is too complicated for them to fudge and they're just kicking that can down the road."
How sad that the majority on there & on here think there is a reasonably high chance that they will be rewarded for a defamatory club statement & threatening the EPL.
