Has to come in for Chong on Friday in my opinion as he has a far better delivery for Morris and Adebayo to feed off. Plus I always feel that Chong looks more dangerous when coming off the bench.

I didn’t confirm it was on Talksport today.
The article link referred to a ‘rumour’ that Hawksbee said on Talksport a month ago, about a further 2 point deduction.
My point being that even if he did reverse his narrative today, that proves he’s an unreliable source.

Nah. Chong was only quiet in the second half on Saturday because playing him at LWB was a weird gamble that didn’t pay off. Chong is one of our few outright game changers, especially with Barkley off-form the last few games. Get Adebayo in for Clark, give Chong a free role just behind them.

I think both things can be true - Chong was playing out of position but also Townsend is better creatively and could start - why not play 2 up front as it is must win and start Townsend instead of Clark?

For me clicker has been our best player over the last month or so, I think he has continued to improve this season and has benefited from training and playing alongside Barkley. If we do go down a midfield including Marv and clicker will be very decent indeed!

I know onions and all that, but I think Clark has been our least productive player recently. Among stiff competition, I felt he was our worst player v Brentford. He absolutely tries in every game, no question, but there’s nowhere near enough end product at this level. (Obviously I hope I’m proved wrong and he scores the winner in our next three games.)

Upto recently I thought it looked like he was starting to adapt quite well but against Brentford and Wolves he was poor, though he wasn't the only one that struggled by any stretch of the imagination.

I don’t think it a coincidence that his two worst performances have come when he has been shifted out to wide right, to accommodate lakonga. I think he is best through the middle where he can find pockets of space and drive at the defence.
