Hitting double figures in the top division

Well done Carlton Morris for 10 yesterday. He is a 1 in 3 Premier League striker (remember barely any penalties) and a 1 in 2 Championship striker. He must be in the £40M value range at the moment and will probably be creating interest in the summer. Not to mention an impeccably hard worker and captain.

    2024 Carlton Morris (10*)
    1992 Mick Harford (12)
    1991 Lars Elstrup (18)
    1990 Iain Dowie (11)
    1990 Kingsley Black (11)
    1989 Roy Wegerle (12)
    1989 Danny Wilson (12)
    1988 Mick Harford (21)
    1988 Brian Stein (18)
    1988 Mark Stein (13)
    1988 Danny Wilson (10)
    1987 Mike Newell (13)
    1987 Brian Stein (13)
    1986 Mick Harford (25)
    1985 Mick Harford (16)
    1984 Paul Walsh (14)
    1983 Brian Stein (15)
    1960 Billy Bingham (16)
    1959 Allan Brown (25)
    1958 Gordon Turner (38)
    1957 Gordon Turner (35)
    1956 Gordon Turner (19)

    *Not out.
**There's probably a couple more, but data not easily available.

There was a stat on March of the Day yesterday that said Morris was the first player to hit 10 goals for us in the top division since Mick Harford in 1984 and my immediate thought was there was no way that could be correct!

At first I thought he was another case of “Cameron Jerome syndrome”

Glad he has proved me wrong but sorry no chance of 40 million. Even the best players Mengi and Kami won’t go for that.

What the media used to describe for him as he was very good for championship, but not good enough for Premiership football.

Great work, just need to add
              Paul Walsh 15 goals - 1983.
              Bob Morton 10 goals - 1956
              Mark Stein 13 goals - 1988
