The main reason for going to a football match is to win the game,so on that premise I have enjoyed the championship last season a lot more than the premiership this season, it’s alright going to nice big stadiums and watching great players if that’s all you want ,but for me personally I will quite happily go down to the championship where most games you go to you expect to win and the premiership is the opposite most games you go in hope but expect to lose, so fuck the premiership give me the championship where I know we have a better chance of winning some fuck the premiership and all the the prima donnas that come with it.
Main reason for going is surely to support your team? Irrespective of opposition. We all enjoy it more when winning & the result of winning is that you play in higher leagues against better opposition.
Liverpool at home, when Chong scored, I found myself not celebrating with wild abandon, from my spot I couldn't tell if he was offside or not and just thought it would be disallowed, awful. Since then I've not really enjoyed it.
Arsenal at home, Martinelli, Jesus and Havertz spent the entire first half on the ground moaning to the ref. Since then the whole shine has been taken off this overhyped wank. Would love us to stay up but honestly not that arsed.
Best thing about the whole season has been the bobbers opening.
You see Carlton’s first reaction to a last gasp winner the other week was to look at the lino instead of instinctively running off to celebrate. Footballs had all the joy sucked out of it now.
