    The most disappointing thing

Posted by Think Thameslink on 21/4/2024, 8:27:11

Is once again looking out over Power Court and seeing that nothing much has changed in another twelve months.

So many accepted the lack of player investment was down to money for the ground.

The only progress update we have is from a fans forum so nobody is really any the wiser on when detailed planning permission is going in.

Should next seasons chances in the Championship be curtailed by an exodus of players for cost reasons then what gives???

Almost everyone would have taken relegation easier had we seen that ground being constructed as it would shown that even better times were ahead.

Is GS taking us for fools?

Don’t we deserve a bit of honesty?

I've seen a lot of activity over the past few weeks...dunno where you've been looking from

I must admit, I'm a little perplexed the detailed planning application still hasn't gone in.

I know some people on here said the other month it would be imminent. Would be nice to see it in sometime soon to keep things on track.

Yes, the apparent lack of real progress and any meaningful dialogue is disappointing

Yay, I had "Power Court progress" on my post defeat bingo card. I'm sure "January window," "should never have" and "sell Barkley" will pop up soon for a full house.

Maybe but that doesn’t actually help does it?

The defence of GS on here is excellent, perhaps some of you chaps should have actually played yesterday, we may have had a better chance!

But I would like some to see some constructive opinions, no pun indented.

I assume you’ve read the planning application for the ground works, so will know that they are going to take 40 weeks to complete. Given they started a few weeks ago, and that nothing else can happen until they are complete, that gives over half a year for detailed planning

Posted by Think Thameslink on 21/4/2024, 9:40:25, in reply to "Re: The most disappointing thing "

So it’s necessary for our fans to read the LBC planning portal and take inferences from that rather than actually give regular updates and not via throw away lines at the fans forum?

Why can’t GS summarise and be honest?

The fine associations of TIL, LL and SOLYD have all been formed on trust, honesty and transparency.

However this all goes out of the window when GS doesn’t want scrutiny.

We have stopped acting to our principles.

Gary said we’d have spades in the ground in January 2024. We didn’t.

Now it’s work starting in 2025.

Nathan Jones spoke about lower court and how exciting it would be to manage a team playing there. How long ago was that?

That substation has always been there, but the talk about it as if it’s a new thing that’s only just been thrown in the mix. Seems and sounds like it’s kicking the can down the road. Why? Lack of money? Or is it actually not going to happen but he doesn’t want to say it?

Official update on progress and state of dpp.
How much we are spending of the PL money on PC in current fiscal.
In hindsight has he (GS) known that dpp still wouldn’t have been in place by late April 2024 would he have spent more money on the squad?

What annoys me is that spent a shed load of extra money on KR over and above what the PL requested.

GS knew we would be at KR for far longer than had been previously stated.

Oh well it is what it is, we are still in good hands and fiscally run well. PL money keeps us in a better place .We still are not down and a win can just keep us in the argument.

A little bit more investment in players and better management particularly against Sheffield Utd and Burnley at home and we could be in a much better position. Burnley were reduced to 10 men and still beat us ffs.

Burnley did not have a player sent off when they beat us.
