Is there something not right mentally?

Posted by Godders on 20/4/2024, 18:32:13

I warned the other day that this game was never going to be the easy win some were implying but the bigger question for me is why is it that there is so much spirit against teams were unlikely to beat and we play so well. Yet why is that not transfering into games, particularly at home, against lesser teams which we could beat; today, Burnley, Sheff Utd, Forest, Wolves all spring to mind when we haven't performed as well as against the bigger teams?

Surely we must have a sports psychologist? It really is as if there's a mentality issue.

Fans were really muted all game.
        Which didn't help.

We just look out on our feet, Alfie and Mengi especially.

I think the so called lesser teams let us have the ball knowing we don’t have that bit of quality to break them down. I can see the teams know that we are susceptible to being caught on the counter attack as we are so open when we lose the ball, what get’s my goat is we are to nice, we should be dragging players back when we lose the ball and in trouble and take a booking, we never do that.
