    Meet the Manager night

Are there any transcripts or summaries of what was said available anywhere for those of us not fortunate to attend?

From a mate who was there

Work on the stadium starts next year.

Didn’t have a crystal ball regarding injuries and January’s window. Different market to summer. There will be news of arrivals that have signed but not until summer

Sentiment not freeing up Lockyers number / space.

            Will never happen

            Crystal ball?

That wasn’t really the issue, he has already lost two key players before the later injuries.

Did anyone ask about that and the assertion that we would be stronger (so losing players later wouldn’t have been so impactful)?

I can’t be the only fan who would ask this question. If I had attended I would have done.

Also surprised Edwards’s was answering questions regarding ground construction.

Others have asked the questions. But they're not as obsessed as you. Why didn't you go and ask the questions? There was an opportunity to get the answers you've been begging for for months.

Oversight on my part. Have been previously but too late before selling out this time.

Surprised though that it hasn’t been summarised for fans who couldn’t make.

The ground update is quite significant in itself. “Next year” is quite a broad response.

                    I am chilled regardless.

The ground updates have been poor for a long time. I don't expect anything else.

Regards the managers night. You didn't go. You had the opportunity. So please stop spamming this board with the same shit. Thanks.

                            Ah fair enough then.

I am a member of the clique supporters groups but I don't sponsor the players or do match Day hospitality or rim Gary Sweet once a week so perhaps that's why

"There will be news of arrivals that have signed but not until summer"

Does this imply we have already agreed terms with players/clubs?

If so, this is very surprising given that:

                  1) I didn't know you could do this outside of the transfer window
                  2) I'd be surprised if clubs were willing to let players go given we're at the 'business end' of the season
                  3) we don't know what league we're going to be in next season and I'd have thought that would have some impact on targets?

Apologies if I've misread your post.

Players in the last 6 months of their contracts can negotiate new contracts with new clubs.

It also makes sense for both parties to keep it quiet until season ends - why risk upsetting your star centre forward with news of a new one incoming, or risk the wrath of donut fans at your current club when you've already signed for another club?

I can only tell you what I was told on a brief WhatsApp message. Kinda hoping someone who was actually there can add a bit more meat so to speak !!
I’m guessing it’s they’ve agreed terms with a player whose contract is up in June. I think if they’ve not signed a deal with their current club by Jan 1st then they are free to start talks. I’m guessing out of respect to the player and his club nothing is announced until his contract is up. ?

I know, definitely hope he is right.

Given the details of the construction, assuming I think, that they are starting below ground level (not just the foundations!), I would have thought it would be quite complex.
