Shouldn't the punishment be greater when committing a second offence. That's normally how it works.

Woopie do, doubt their worried about a 2 point 'punishment'

The PL have made themselves look stupid.

If I was in charge of Luton, Forest, Burnley etc I’d be very seriously considering legal action at this point. The Premier League is not following its own rules if any aspect of a PSR-related breach is not dealt with in the current season.

maybe Gary will have a whip round to try to be able to hire Nick De Marco ? He's the guy you want.

I totally agree, but the rules are not clearly defined and the shareholders of the league (the clubs) have deliberately left it open to interpretation.

I also don’t think LTFC will want to be perceived to stick the knife into other clubs, especially with our history and our willingness to be progressive and fan focused.

Personally, I think we’re being too nice here. It’s clear Forest especially have been taking the piss. Everton I think have some justifiable reasons, especially around Usmanov but they’re also a basket case with out of control costs.

If they lost Usmanov's sponsorship, why didn't they replace it? I suspect that the answer is because the value of his sponsorship was massively above "true market value" in order to improve their PSR figures so no other sponsor would pay it.

Also Brighton, Wolves and West Ham had to sell big, denting their chances of Europe, Newcastle have more money than Britain yet didn't splash big, they're the ones we'd need to join any lawsuit.

I'd say so yes albeit do the standard directions apply yo a charge that isn't strictly related to Upper Loss limit?

Surely it is of such importance to the wider League and clearly a new new issue, that should be pushed for THIS season.

It's amazing they feel they are right to appeal given that having breached the rules they then lost most of the amount they are allowed to lose over three years in the following year.

They have been dealt with incredibly leniently already.

Still no word on the supposed takeover of EFC.....They're currently being propped up financially by 777...... Albeit only a further 2pts penalty, it still makes relegation for them more of a possibilty and consequently the 'value' of the club is seriously diminished....... Should 777 be shown the red card and with the current owner unwilling to pump in any more cash, then EFC as a club would be dead in the water, with administration the only option.... Should that happen, then the timing is all important as it attracts an immediate 9pt penalty... If it happens before the seasons affairs are wrapped up, then they're relegated.................That's assuming the EFL would have them !
