    Destiny in our own hands?

Posted by Benfleethatter on 7/4/2024, 9:19:07

Noticed that 'The Outsider' suggested that our destiny wasn't in our hands further down. I'm wondering if that's correct? My head hurts too much to do the maths, but doesn't the fact that we have Brentford and Everton to play and Everton have Forest and Brentford to play, mean it just about is in our own hands? 🤔

Easy maths. If The Outsider says something, it's correct.

You're doing your bit wrong, don't doubt.

      Cheers, Jim

Haven't studied the fixtures, but would have thought if we win all our games we stay up.

CTC - win more than nottingham forest and we stay up.

Quick look at fixtures and the fact forest have got both burnley and Sheffield utd yet to play albeit away from home means I think we are relying on results going our way

To be fair, Burnley look to be finally found a little bit. Too late for them obviously but they could beat Forest.

Not really. If Forest win all their games.
Everton and Brentford won every game except the ones against us, we'd go down.
So no, it's not in our own hands.

You obviously haven't thought that through.Everton have Forest and Brentford to play too, so it's not straightforward at all. At least one of them will drop points.

Everton have to play Forest 2 weeks today, they can’t both win

Not possible because they are playing each other ….
If we win all our remaining games I think we stay up …obviously that’s extremely unlikely.
