I never did meet him as far as I know, but he sounds like an unsung hero, I’ve followed Luton all over the country but never got involved with saving the club.
I can only go by the people that knew him, he sounds like a person that I wish I had met.
Legend is word used to often, but in this case spot on.
Twiddles I hope you are watching, and I wish I had met you.
He certainly played a big part in making sure that we still have a club to support.
He was a real character. I remember when I was raising sponsorship for the walk from Luton to Watford with Jeff Stelling. He came to my seat just before a game shortly before the walk and handed me £5 and five Golden Gamble tickets and said that he couldn't afford to donate more but, if any of the tickets won, the prize was to go to my sponsorship.
