    Tiiddles / Kevin Catlin

Posted by EastEnder on 5/4/2024, 18:59:22

Probably not many on here even remember him these days.

Most unsung hero in saving the club.

We had a big falling-out not long before the JPT Final.

Wasn't mentioned again, he just sorted out all my JPT tickets for me in the MADS Block Booking.

So sad he never got to see the Premier League adventure.

My former partner in crime. Or justice. I miss him every day even though we had a massive falling out, due to me being vainglorious. He was right. As he always was.
He reached out to me before he passed, which was lovely, and typical of him.
      A wizard, a genius, a true star.

His greatest moment was getting access to MK's computer and exposing the Jayten emails.

      Love him still.

right lad, doomsday has arrived...i need some money to pay the welsh builder,a tax bill, and acontribution to alex's wedding cost.altogether £35k.the builder, currently £23k,is the most urgent,as it has to be paid by the 5th march.

as the sale of the shares is not going to be completed until sometime close to or into april,i have to do something this week without fail.i am up to my absolute limit with the bank.the alternatives are to borrow through jayten and repay out of investment proceeds,or to sell one share to either matt or kingy or someone else.on the deal value for investment a share is worth 120 into £6m[taking kj into account].that is a shade under£60k per share.if i had to,i would be prepared to sell one share for £45k,giving the buyer an incentive discount and solving my current cash crisis.

the problem is that someone holding one share in jayten is entitled to know what is going on,not a good idea.and as there are no pre-emption rights,he could pass it on to anyone else.....who could be an embarrassment or an enemey.

better to keep jayten between the four of us until the relevant investment has gone throuh.so how about a tempory loan through jayten?or do you have any other ideas?a bit embarassing really, but there we are.franco did not go through in october, and kj did not go through in january.i think that either of the two front runners will go through...but not yet.

we'll discuss this problem in the car tomorrow.

shame aboyt yesterday's game, the points are very tight now.this is another reason for bill to go now--if we do face relegation the fall-out in his direction will be immense.and that will affect us.

i'll be driving back this afternoon, see you in the morning,

        badge.

He is a big loss due to his knack of uncovering all sorts of stuff.
During the fight to to stop Jayten moving us to J12,oh the irony in that word, me and T made contact with the councillors out by j12 to see how they felt about the proposed relocation of the ground. We had quite a few meetings with them and gave them advice on what they may wish to consider how to mount a campaign against the move. They were absolutely the opposite to what we were and the reason was they were conservative councillors! Im sure if we had a few more meetings with them T would have convinced them to come over to Labour. What a guy. I have loads of stories what we got up to, miss the old bugger.

Paying $21 where I am in the world right now. Haven’t done that particular wager for a while though coincidentally checked the price about 12hrs ago.

I suppose I’ll have to do it now. And as many of the pubs double up as bookies in these parts I’ll have no excuse not to

RIP Tiddles btw. What a star.

Yes I remember T very well. Top top bloke, but sadly he was not well. He could fall out at any time, but would treat you like nothing had ever happened. I seem to remember he fell out with me, but all was well as far as that was concerned when he sadly died. The only thing I would say is don't hold on to the falling out, he certainly wouldn't.

That block booking of his was brilliant, big thanks to Mike Hooker and the TO team too.

The night before the game he cooked a curry for a few of us, plus a few drinks, and we stayed at his as he was convinced we'd miss the early train otherwise and get caught up in the crowds (this was part of Operation Harrow) - however as we approached the station around 7 in the morning we could hear singing and it was rammed.

Great day out, very shambolic after though...

Makes me smile to remember him lifting a 'secret panel' in his hallway floor where he stashed people's cash ticket payments.

A genuine one off, who many of us miss a lot.

I very much wish I could have met him. Never got the chance though. Have heard many a story of his contribution to the club.

I wonder what he would have thought about ‘modern football’ and this league?

Hw would have summed up all the shit better than anyone... or maybe roughly on a par with Kevin Crowe. Only person who would come close.

                                    How are you, mate?

Ok thanks, you? Long time no see as they say…

Going to my first game since the West Ham home game tomorrow.

Not bad thanks, not going tomorrow, would be great to catch up at some point, though. Have a good day.
