The main issue I had with this is that half the squad were English

I understand the annoyance, but how many on here would cheer on QPR, Watford, Milwall, MK, in a cup semi, or final?
          Not too many I suspect.

I think this is a bit different. My dad was a proud Welshman, so always had a soft spot for them

Someone actually posted something the other night which was spot on. They as a football team are vert similar to Luton. Not got the best players but play with heart and passion , Compare them to England who are so dull under Southgate despite having some very very good players.

And I have Welsh blood in me.

Quite. And that goes both ways

I'm not that bothered either way but I can understand why some England fans feel schadenfreude when the other home nations fail

My bigger problem is how much they hate England and the massive chip they have on their shoulder about us. So no fuck them and hilarious they got knocked out.
They really thought that they were through as well announcing their fans on banning orders would not be able to travel.

I think that's changed. Growing up being British it seemed acceptable to cheer on any home nation.

Increased nationalisn and an understanding now that every nation seemingly hate England has dissolved this.

I used to love football now I find it almost a chore. England are massively overated. Premier league massively overated. Love Luton Town as we are a stand alone Punk club in a world full of two Bob boy bands.

Indeed. I always used to cheer on the other home nations when I was a kid but I've been left totally cold to them after seeing their attitude to England these past 30 years. Euro 96 was the eye-opener

On your other point, yes - love Luton Town, hate football

I’d not really thought about that but yes that’s how I feel too. I want the absolute best for my team but PL football in particular drains my love of football with all the cheating (on and off the pitch), the media circus around the PL and above all else VAR. VAR sucks the enjoyment out of the most simple thing in football of celebrating a goal having to wait up to 5 minutes to see if you can properly celebrate. The real moment is gone.

I'm still very much enjoying it, honestly the sight of Chelsea clinging on desperately after being 3-0 up and us tearing them apart is something that will live with me forever.

But I know what you mean, when we equalised against Forest and the kickoff was delayed it was awful. But they only really care about the TV audiences these days, they only care about the fans in the ground when they do awful things like mocking the opposition.

The Premier league will mirror woman's Premier league because football all about money.

City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and surprisingly Spurs. Then 50 "big" clubs scrapping to get an invite to the evening reception to be given a portion controlled prawn valavaunt and a chance to dance with a fuck ugly bridesmaid.

Indeed MC Hate football Love Luton Town

Only going to get worse I’m afraid. The champions league clubs get an extra home game next season. So there’s another 5 million quid of revenue to add to their coffers

Their attitude towards our national team probably comes from us having the self proclaimed beat league in the world that is pushed down everyone's throat 24/7.
