Excellent, the noises that come out of Rob Halford shouldn't be possible at his age but somehow . . .

And for me finally seeing "Easy Livin'" played live, I think I would have gone just for that!

P.S should post Easy Living for FNIMN, one of their best.

Indeed. We got there half through UH set, all 3 bands were exceptional and as you say RH voice still amazing.

Yes we almost missed UH, but just got there as they came on.

Ha! I had just come on here to ask how it went.
Always good to go to live music.

              Definitely!

I've been going to a lot of smaller gigs recently.

Crazy how the smaller venues are struggling so much now. Use them or lose them!

Totally agree, except AC/DC at Wembley in July of course.

I stopped going to larger venues a few years back. Don't like the lack of tickets. Don't like the prices. Don't like the cost of drink/food. Don't like the distance from the band. Don't like a lot of the "whooping" cretins that are there. Don't like the acoustics.

Love the small venues with real music fans.

Talking of ACDC, saw an excellent tribute band at the Horn of Plenty last year.

Whole Lotta DC. Seem to play there annually, usually January/February.
Played for about 2 hours, totally exceeded my expectations.
Ps saw the real ACDC, city Hall, St.Albans in around 1976. Angus fell off the speaker stacks

Whooping cretins exist at every venue regardless of size, I know as I'm one of them and just watched the Ozric Tentacles and Gong with about 200 other whooping hippies.

Are we not meant to cheer, celebrate or applaud the bands now?

Do you just stand there tapping a foot?

                        Depends when you "Whoop".
At the beginning (on recognition of favourite song perhaps) or end of song is fair enough. Just can't take clowns who think the show is about them and shout/whoop/whatever, at quiet point in song. Or don't have the capacity to listen to new songs, as well as the old favourites.

But yes, it is up to you what you do. I just avoid those venues that seem to accept it.

Sounds like you just don't like people nor sharing a live music venue with others.

                          Maybe stick to CDs.

Don't blame you but the BIC is decent enough, big enough to get some of these bands without being huge.

But yes, smaller venues give cracking value.
