I've seen 3 games now where a 0-3 scoreline has been turned into a 4-3 final score. The Wrexham game in 2000, Athletic Bilbao v Osasuna in 2005 and the Bournemouth game.

Rather spookily our goalkeeping coach on Wednesday played for Wrexham in that game and Andoni Iraola played for Athletic in the other.

                  Did it ever really start?

We signed Kent Karlsen, Petri Helin and Lee Nogan the following month. As though they were somehow going to make it all ok.

We weren't 3-0 up at half time.

Throwing away a 3 goal lead to a mediocre 10 man Chelsea in the early 90s was worse.

Yeah ..... I can think of 4 times we've lost 3 goal leads, would be nice to do it ourselves

That Chelsea match - just checked Hatters Heritage, gate was a massive 9416. Where were all the loyal, lifelong Chelsea supporters that day?

We did - against Newcastle in 1946 - 3-0 down - won 4-3 the first game that John Buttle attended - he was telling us about it in the sponsors' lounge before the Wrexham game.

Also 3-0 down with 17 minutes to go) to 3-3 - home to Carlisle in 1970.

Another more recent 3-0 lead (after 23 minutes) lost to end 3-3 was Swansea at home in 2021.

Not (quite) old enough for the favourable ones ....

Won 4-3 at Cambridge first season in conference just before the Stevenage home game.

Went 2-0 down not 3 down

No thinking of one in the early 90s at the Abbey stadium.
There was also a 3.3 on a Friday night I recall where we blew it!

Was mentioned by a few people after the game Wednesday. Everyone said we were very fortunate to take a 3 goal lead in that game.

In actual fact I don't think we were actually 3 up at ht , Liam george scored the third , about 10 - 15 minutes ? into the second half.

We were, the only thing that changed after we went 3-0 up is that Wrexham started shooting at the goal rather than wide.

Very similar to Bournemouth, while we scored three good goals we weren't "dominant" at any point.

Later that season we played QPR in the FA Cup 3rd Round at Kenilworth Road. We were 2-0 up at half time. Some QPR fans sitting in the main stand were moaning about their performance. I told them not to worry and that we had been 3-0 against Wrexham and lost 3-4. Lo and behold, the second half was a different story. They came back to 2-2. Stuart Douglas scored a third for us, but in the dying minutes Lee Nogan decided to reach for the ball with his hand in our penalty area. Why? No-one ever knew. In the replay, Lee Mansell put us 1 up after 1 minute, but we lost 2-1 AET.
