The crazy’s are out in force

As a kid in the 80’s I took for granted some of the great players and seasons we had. Since then we have had some moments and but I never truly believed that Kenilworth Road would see top flight football again.
Even last season I was happy to survive in the Championship with the thought that another few years of that before we reached PowerCourt after which we could start thinking about the Prem.

So maybe RE got it wrong last night, maybe we should have bought a couple more players in January and maybe without injuries we would be clear of relegation.

The future of our club though is brighter than ever. We are financially secure with a new stadium in the offing. We will recruit great talent and will see kids from our academy.

The future is Orange - enjoy the ride

Once we were confirmed as promoted to the Premier League pretty much anyone with a football opinion told us we would be an embarrassment to the league.
28 games in and that's the first game that qualifies as a bit embarrassing. A bit of perspective required sometimes.

Exactly, enjoy it for what it is, football as as they say is nothing and everything. If there were no downs there'd be no ups.

In the grand scheme of things a relegation this year is not a down. We were ahead of schedule getting promoted - so our worst case is that we are back in the Championship but with parachute payments.

As my time watching the Town started in the 1950’s there have been periods over the years when playing Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool etc was, yes another big game, but we saw ourselves as near equals in terms of getting good results. So, could be seen as some sort of golden era but have to say the way this club has conducted itself these past few seasons and has competed (ok maybe not won) this season has made me the most pleased and proudest I have been as Hatter. Maybe the result and performance last night does not augur well but whatever happens this club and team has provided us with something we never thought possible.

We’re in with a shout still but whatever happens at the end of the season the ride has been terrific, COYH
