Square peg in a round hole last night. Poor sod had a lot of pace running at him all game. Don't see why we didn't play a youth player who is left footed and can play left back. Was a sickener the result last night. Saturday is a big game now need the crowd to be lively all game and pray to God that I'd we were to go 3 up again we think and defend a bit better or better still just go for broke and keep attacking ourselves

After final whistle, he walked, rather hobbled onto the pitch, so maybe he got an injury, but played through the pain?

Added to the fact he is not only new to the Premier League, he is new to the English Leagues. It took many of our defenders a good number of games to get used the League so he really has been thrown in at the deep end with both arms tied behind his back

Yeah well spotted, maybe we should have played Andersen or Bell on crutches instead....

Absolutely, but we have no-one else.

Don’t really get the criticism of him last night. First goal was some really good skill by Solanke, 3rd goal he was hung out to dry by the system / Doughty / midfield. He had to literally defend half of our half of the pitch by himself against a really skilful, pacy attacker.

Got to have a scapegoat. Probably find those slating him the most were the ones bigging him up before the match.

Spot on. Leaving him isolated was criminal and I can't imagine what our extensive coaching team were thinking. No blame on a bloke finding his way in a new team and in the best league in the world.

Let's hope he gets some protection on Saturday or history will repeat itself.

Doughty's attempt at chasing back after his mistake for Palace's goal on Saturday was poor.
