    Not Learning from Mistakes

Edwards mentions it nearly every post match. He needs to count himself first in that.

Anyone who has ever played would say it looks like he is setting up a team for a training match. One where you are developing a style and keep playing it until it works.

That's no way to approach an elite level competitive match.

Elite level, how far we have come.
      Your club needs YOU
      Massive, VOCAL support needed Saturday.
      Cannot lose this game.
      Enjoy this party.

Our massive vocal support won't count for anything unless we set learn to defend.

Got to agree. It's beginning to look like he's a one trick pony.

With the current limited resources what exactly should he do?

Having limited resources, it is even more important to be tactically flexible

Injuries are no excuse. He could set the team up to play more pragmatically.
He could set them up to defend as a unit, not all tearing around the pitch man marking in one on one duels. Sometimes our defensive organisation looks like a park team, and that has nothing to do with missing personnel

I'd agree with that. Said a few games recently we look like a school side, all chasing the ball.

I agree that against City and maybe Villa we went to gung hoo, but I am not sure that we have the players available to do anything differently now... lacking CB's ans CDM"s determines how we play I believe.

Without an attacking threat we are nothing and it's just a grim, slow procession until we get picked apart.

With an attacking threat, we have a chance to get something. But it is going to look horrible at times.

We don't need a massive attacking threat at 3-0. For example the wing backs should've been further back to help the defence.

We need to start doing the niggly stuff - walk off with the ball at throw ins, take an age at goal kicks etc etc

You are allowed to be aggressive going fwd and have a solid base at the back, we have failed to find this balance.

                        at 0-0 yes

But not at 3-0 up. Can take a long time do be picked apart. And worse teams than City eventually get feed up attempting it

Yes we've got many injured but that doesn't mean you can't adjust the side/tactics with the players you've got.
