    Kit and club shop

Posted by Godders on 13/3/2024, 9:34:16

In early January I was in the club shop and asked about any new deliveries of kit and lead time etc. I was told that they expected one more delivery from Umbro in about a month, so beginning of February. Obviously that was over a month ago and just wondering what, if anything, happened in relation to that as there's been no change in the online shop suggesting virtually all sizes of home and away shirts are sold out.

As we head towards the end of the season where kits for next season are starting to be leaked I hope that next season won't have the utter fiasco that this season has been (not all the fault of the club I hasten to add). Our contract with Umbro expires this summer. Wonder what who will be our supplier going forward.

Let's face it if Alphabetman can source shirts and flog them off then why can't the shop.
The merchandise part of the club is shocking. Its not down to the people in there but piss pour sourcing.
For me it's Alpha every time, even though he has been told to stop by a certain person known as Billy.

Don’t forget we are building a ground too. Some fans are so ungrateful.

The club shop has absolutely nothing to do with the new ground build.

How do you know its not all the fault of the club? Their silence on the matter speaks volumes. I've not heard of any other club that uses Umbro having the same problems. It's a complete farce that a Premier League club has had these issues.

The club has to renegotiate sponsorship contracts plus how were they to know there would be such a high demand for them this season? That's just 2 examples as to why it's not all the club's fault. But it has been an absolute shambles.

I get they underestimated the original order as they wouldn't have known we were getting promoted but they've had all season to sort it out.
Its like this new stock thats supposed to on its way. I've heard Feb, beginning March and end of March of people all claiming to have spoken to the club shop.
The real surprise is why so many have been surprised. The club shop has been piss poor for.as long as I remember.

Would you treat all customers the same knowing one was about f*ck off to a rival?
Other brands have had supply issues too. Castore is known about but Arsenal have had problems with Adidas and let's not forget the Mary Earps/England/Nike controversy before the World Cup.
