In 1979 I used to have a payday bacon roll cuppa tea and use the pinball machine.

Was on Guildford Street next to Bute Street now part of a kebab house .

    Damn fine bacon rolls

Late 70s used to breakfast in them all. The best were the one at the far end of Dallow Road or the Lucky Boy in Leagrave Road, both still there. Worst probably one of the two at the bottom of Hitchin Road ( gone now). Remember one of the lads filling up the ashtray with the fat it was swimming in.

There was one just off New Bedford Road under the bridge. Think it was the Music Box Cafe.

The café? That was on the ground floor. Can't remember anything else there. This was late 60's, early 70's. I worked for Granada TV, our shop was near it
