More pushing gambling to drive many into further misery.

Alan Brazil et Al will be pushing as normal.

Best thing the club does is to refuse the gambling money.

Deffo lost a lot of its appeal, there was a time about 15 years back I threw a sickie for the 4 days and headed down to it, don't think i'd even check the runners these days.

It's been a really poor build up to the Festival. Usually Day 1 is one of my favourite days of the year but each of the Grade 1 fields are well below par and lack any intrigue or excitement.
Anybody who is pushing gambling this week and avoiding the lack of clashes between top horses is being disingenuous.
I usually punt a few hundred quid at Cheltenham. I'll be surprised if I go beyond double figures this year.

Normally listen to TalkSport on my ten minute drive to work every week day.

Won't be bothering this week because all they do is discuss boozin'.

I totally endorse the club having nothing to do with gambling.

                    I wish I had followed suit !

Cheltenham not the same. Top races now dominated by too few stables, making it less competitive. Willie Mullins holds all the aces.

Kevin Blake's blogs are worth reading if you want to see how the quality of the meeting has been diluted. He has some reasonable suggestions of how to fix it too. Such as turn the Mare's races into handicaps as well as the Ballymore and NH Chase.
