Not late goals cost us

Its burnley and Sheffield defeats.. Top half teams are a world apart.
We’ve also had a few results in our favour that could easily have gone another way, so it’s a bit swings and roundabouts. The really annoying thing to me is that what will relegate us is not lack of quality but making stupid defensive mistakes time and again, perhaps we made as many last year which didn’t get punished but I can’t remember them so much

Yep, spot on
We are very close to being decent but individual mistakes or lapses in concentration are killing us. 5 or 6 of the 7 goals we conceded against Newcastle and Sheff Utd were so avoidable
And that's before we even start talking about Chelsea at home (1st goal), Man United, Villa, etc, etc
The first goal killed us. We were looking pretty strong up to that point. Still not sure what Osho was doing as he'd made up the ground on Archer and should have easily won the physical one on one.
Sheff U also defended like demons when they had something to hang onto.
Watch the highlights and then come back and apologise.
Archer spins him and does him for pace for the first five yards. Osho catches him and goes shoulder to shoulder but somehow is muscled off. Osho doesn't appear balanced at the point of impact.
The same thing in consecutive weeks with Osho too. He should have learned from Gordon at Newcastle the previous week. Foul him if nothing else. Take the yellow
Our tempo was slow and it was all very flat against Sheff Utd. So frustrating
And this is the thing, it's the same mistakes every time.
We concede goals in short bursts, so we often go 1 down then 2 shortly after.
We concede goals from crosses late in the game
We concede immediately after scoring
We switch off
As you say we conceded identical goals against Newcastle and Sheff U
Everyone says the games against Liverpool and man city aren't what will relegate us, which is correct, but we've lost to Burnley and Sheff U at home, which could well do.
We just need a to be a bit more street wise at the back
Let's be honest. We were second best second half at their place second half and won despite not having a shot on target !! Sort of can't fathom it really how we've played so badly against these 2.
