I know I will get battered for this, why didnt everybodies golden boy barkley stand in front of there player to halt the quick free kick leading to their 2nd goal. I think barkley needs to realise this a relegation battle & not the the Ross barkley show. I get he has class, but his tracking back is non existent. If other players did this they would get slaughtered.
The ref had his back turned and Barkley was within 10 yards of the ball being played. Should have been retaken. Without Barkley in the side we would be getting smashed even more! Stop moaning and move on. Theres more than enough points available to get us out of the bottom 3.
Why should it have been retaken ? Quick free kicks are allowed, ref doesn't need to whistle to restart the game. They were quick thinkers, we were asleep.
Watch it back. He is standing next to the bloke taking it. If you think it's ten yards you must be a fisherman. Exactly my point, everyone's golden boy. But hey ho enjoy him if you must,for the 12 games.....
Frustrating not to have one of our 10 outfield players stand on the ball to stop a free kick but your posts are way off the mark. His tracking back is non existant - that's a plain lie. Ross Barkley show - in your mind. If anyone has been the epiome of humble it's him. I will enjoy Barkley and the rest of the games this season.
