Now Mike Ashley owns The Arndale and is about to put a huge Sports Direct in there, could he be the man to take us on to the next level? He did a good job with Rangers and we'd at least finally have some stock in the club shop.

That would be the ethics of the club out the window... payday loans & betting sponsorship, minimum wage, poor working conditions etc.
It would destroy everything good that 2020 have achieved.

Wasn't there a large one in there previously, which lost money?

Sports Direct is very different now. They also cater for those wanting some better brand names. They don't just build shops for the fun of it. Ashley is a very successful business man.
Can 2020 take us onto the next level on their own?

He’s a very successful business man who has shown he has no interest in losing money by ‘donating’ cash to a football club. The only reason he would get involved in a football club is to extract more money from it.

              In short. No thanks!!!!

Hmmm, Mike Ashley or 2020, that's a tough one.

How? To go onto the next level would involve spending larger amounts on players and wages.

Firstly, by building the infrastructure of the club - you know, investing in the stadium, the training ground, the academy, all the stuff they have already been doing. And we saw in the January transfer window that a bit of a reset may be coming in terms of other teams not spending as much due to the financial rules, which could make things less unbalanced. Plus we get more out of every pound we spend than any other club, in my opinion - so it's not just what you spend, but how you spend it.

Which becomes possible by staying in the PL, or dropping down, rebuilding and returning.

We're doing it the right way. Long may that last.

Do you think if we go down we could return the following season

                          It's possible
Why not? We'd have the parachute payments

No idea, but we would have parachute payments so the capacity to protect and/or build the squad. Just want us to continue doing the right things, the right way - whichever league we're in.

With 2020 we will. Looking at championship this year top teams look very strong
