What do midfielder Matt Robinson and Luton’s current tactics have in common?

In all seriousness, I try to stay positive but think for the first time now that we will get relegated. RE showing no signs of wanting to play another way despite giving up a ridiculous amount of chances every game. I’m feeling very despondent today.

      It. Was. Man. City.

Do we need to shout it louder for those at the back?

It’s self inflicted. Since we’ve played man for man, without any sort of structure, we’ve shipped goals for fun, including 3 against the worst team in the division.

With a bit of tweaking and fine tuning, we’d have a fair chance of staying up; however RE seems to have now adopted a reckless ‘gun ho’ approach, regardless of the opposition.

All this based on the last couple of performances against the two of the very best sides in world football..... slight over reaction. If we do go down it will be with a fight which comes from the way we have developed as a team over the period of this season.

Much rather go down fighting than with the whimper that most clubs do.

It may well be an overreaction, but it’s how I’ve felt this week!

The likes of Nottingham Forest and Fulham created a lot more good chances against Man Utd than we did, and gave up considerably less goalscoring opportunities. I don’t think Onana had to make a decent save at Kenilworth Road.

Teams like Bournemouth and Brentford have recently given Man City a much better game than we did last night. No issue with being beaten by two of the world’s best sides, it’s the ease with how many simple chances teams are creating against us that concerns me.

Without Lonkonga and Adebayo we look a lot different. If things arent working change it before its too late during the game. Thats one thing NJ was good at.

We created lots of chances against Man Utd. Our finishing was so poor we didn't make Onana work. Even Ten Haag said that we had too many chances for his liking

You're right about us giving up loads of chances, though. Even against Sheff Utd

I certainly think we get something from that game if Adebayo doesn’t get injured in the warm-up. Can’t believe how beatable United are nowadays! Ten Hag will be gone in the summer.

I think the last 3 games were free hits. Liverpool away and Man C in the Cup realistically were never going to yield much. Man U at home we were not underserving of a point but 2 very early mistakes cost us the game. The only really "worrying" performance was against Sheff U but right at this minute you can still argue that was a bad day at the office. The Villa game however we need to be so much better defensively - we need someone in front of the back line - however I keep on saying it - we have had a DM problem for a few seasons now - even in the Championship I 100% recall that our back line was easy to get at when we lose the ball in the opposition half
