I live (unsurprisingly) in Toddington. Itís got a few thousand people, pubs, a social club and a few local shops. There are footpaths leading out in every direction (though you are always walking up hill on the way back). Moved here 8 years ago and itís the best thing I did, never regretted it for a moment

Bury park Luton, will be a hipsters place in 2040, where you can pick up craft beers, go to cafťs and order farmhouse loaf with Prosciutto on organic jersey butter. Not forgetting oat milk flat white organic coffee.

Personally I'm looking to relocate to the Biggleswade area. Not too expensive, some character houses and decent amenities. Also avoids having the stigma of a franchise post code.

Is a Stevenage postcode more desirable?

Is for me. I personally couldn't stomach having the franchise suffix in my address. Bad enough writing it on the envelope for relatives. Often wonder if I leave the postcode off and just put 'Franchiseville' whethwr it would arrive.
Knowing how the Post Office is working it's no less likely to get there I guess.

Woburn Abbey, plenty of scope for a house of multiple occupation, you will need to be an animal lover.

Obviously many of the villages if you can afford them and accept you have to travel for most things you need. However for a traditional but growing market town with excellent transport links then Leighton Buzzard in my view as a resident for over 30 years is ideal.

You can get a stunning end of terrace period piece in Bury Park for £12.99 with great access to transport links and potential for adding value with a period appropriate renovation.

your budget will determine the location, there are some nice areas, and some nice villages, but some areas are overpriced. I live in Totternhoe and will fit your brief, and is a bit less expensive than Eaton Bray a couple of miles away.
