    Integrity of the competition

Reduction in Evertond points deduction makes a mockery of the integrity of the the league... many teams would have looked at the table in January and decided on their transfer policy ....now suddenly Everton have 4 points more which may have changed the thinking of many

Indeed. It now ties their hands with the Forest verdict. However, it allows them to almost let off Man City.
It'll be interesting to now see the verdict on 777.
The thumbs down would almost certainly mean receivership and minus 12 points.

If anyone, including us, planned our January business based on Everton getting deducted 10 points then they/we are idiots. I’m sure it didn’t factor into our thinking

But that's what clubs that dont break the rules do..... assess what they can afford to spend against the risk and possible rewards ... but the goal posts keep moving

Edwards' league table that he and the players look at had Everton with all those points back

I'm sure the club would have looked at it that way too

They could have got all the 10 back. They didn't. It really could have been a lot, lot worse. And they face a 2nd, similar charge.

Let's try and win some games of football so the deductions don't matter.

I appreciate that is the reality and am sure we have been planning with nobody getting any deductions but it does make a mockery of league and it officiating that they issue a penalty that can be changed on appeal .... just proves what we have all known all along the so called big clubs run the premier league

As I say, it could have been much worse

6 points is quite a lot. I know it's nothing compared to what happened to us but it's wiped out 2 of their 8 league wins. That's significant in a 38 game season

We should be good enough to take advantage. We should have 3 or 4 more points on the board than we have. We need a massive March and get as near to 30 points as possible before the international break

If we go down it will be because we lost at home to Burnley and Sheff Utd

                    Exactly

That Sheff Utd display, especially, came out of absolutely nowhere. That was a real jolt
