    Alan Campbell

Nope, not another post suggesting we recall him. (If we even can?) I totally respect what Edwards has chosen in terms of our squad - he couldn’t predict injuries unfortunately.

What I don’t like though, is when people have suggested bringing Campbell back, or that he should’ve stayed, is that a small amount of our fans seem to take pleasure that he’s not getting into Millwall’s team, and are writing him off as a player. (See posts regarding Taylor’s goal return for Lincoln too, weird!)

I only care what he did for Luton. He played a big part in the team that got us where we are today, never letting us down. He could potentially play a part for us next season. Show some respect.

Good player but his tackling would bought him a huge amount of bookings I'm afraid....

Agree....also the logic is so flawed because the same people laud us sticking with the likes of Woodrow and Bell and Mpanzu because of 'our identity'... Campbell was a better player for us last season than Berry who has touched the ball 5 times this season in open play

Campbell barely played in the run-in

Got a goal against the wankers down the road and will forever be remembered fondly for that

But I wonder if he will prove to be a bit of a one-season wonder (2021-22)

"Campbell was a better player for us last season than Berry"

              Campbell barely played after Christmas.

Granted he scored against the scum but he was hardly integral to the promotion.

Think Campbell was decent for us. Maybe deemed not athletic enough for the Premier league. I wish him all the best

I dont think it's his athleticism is the issue, I don't think Rob trusts him enough on the ball. He's not the most technical.

I wonder how many of those demanding his return in January were the loudest voices writing him off as "fucking shite" when he first signed?

Agreed, made opposition know they'd been in a fight, chased everything, committed player etc etc
However the Premier players he would face are a cut above Championship level with ball control and quick feet, so a few yellow (or red) cards for late miss-timed challenges wouldn't have been surprising. We already give away too many silly free kicks with the players we have now.

Could be mistaken but sure I read that Campbell wanted the playing time he wouldn't get here, so took the loan deal option . . which obviously hasn't worked for him regarding the playing time. I've wondered for a while why he hasn't been recalled and sent somewhere else.
