Hoyle saying he broke the protocol so that some Labour MPs were protected from threats by their extremist constituents. Either way it's another bad day for democracy in this country.

So the Tories throw a tantrum when their efforts to play party politics was stopped?

I thought the vote was supposed to be about peace and saving thousands of lives?

Labour posting their colours is my take on it.

Keir gets another win win, if Tories try to oust speaker imagine how the next one will feel about them in the run up to GE. Hoyle is not a hostile speaker to them, he just dropped a clanger yesterday.

Irony is regardless of which motion was selected yesterday Israel won’t listen to us, we lost our world standing a long time ago with past weak greedy leaders.

He was pressurised by Labour as the snp amendment would have required MPs to vote with true colours and Hoyle was warned prior that what he was doing was wrong.
Aside were there police controlling protesters outside Westminster?
