    January window

Yes it was Liverpool, but being honest, for once the board screwed up in January. We came out weaker not stronger.

We knew Nakamba was out and didn't replace him. We knew we had no back up in the strikers and didnt bring anyone in. Yes we cant afford a prem striker but we should have at least brought in a championship striker or a kid from another prem team on loan.

Injuries are now starting to show the lack of i vestment in January could mean the difference betwen going down or staying up

'A kid from a Prem team'

And sent Lokonga back? Only two loans allowed from within Prem.

A top Championship striker is £20m these days apparently. To come to Luton and sit on the bench.

      Behave.

        Why makes us different?

So if Ipswich get promoted do you think they will spend more than we did?

They have done this season and they were only promoted last season.

Where does their money come from?

Almost every other club in the top two divisions are owned by a multimillionaire. We aren't.

Nearly every team in that division gets 20,000-70000 gates. We get 11,000.

Burnely spent £100m of the their money on players.

We need a ground. And an academy. And a better training complex. So we have less.

Many clubs spunk millions on players they can't afford and get told off by the Fat Controller. And they lose points. We refuse to do that.

We recruit wisely. Won't have our pants pulled down. And then develop and grow.

              It's great. I like it.

                All very true.

But all the more reason to ensure we covered the loss of two key players because the rewards would have been worth it.

                  No, no and no again.

Getting another two players in only guarantees that we will have spent more money.

And buying a few Championship players and paying more than they are worth because it's January ONLY guarantees that we will have spent a significant amount of money.

Not as ridiculous as spunking a shitload of money and risking the club’s long term future.

Funnily enough, I don’t recall many people dissenting from that approach in the summer. Pretty much everyone was all for “doing it our way”, which was the complete opposite of “spunking a shitload of money”.
